This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with commercial clients and internal stakeholders while contributing to high‑quality project outcomes across the business.
About the Role:
The purpose of the BSS – Selection Consultant role is to engage with clients and provide an unparalleled customer service experience. This is achieved through the delivery of comprehensive, up‑to‑date knowledge of our products and the building and construction industry.
You will support customers through a seamless, end‑to‑end selection process, working in close collaboration with our state commercial sales teams, supply and install teams, and specialty sales teams, ensuring excellence in every customer interaction.
What’s Involved
- Ability to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings, elevations and CAD (or equivalent) plans
- Confidently discuss design fundamentals and their application, including joinery specifications and functional requirements
- Apply strong c ommercial and construction knowledge to support successful customer and project outcomes
- Work closely with CCRM system stakeholders, ensuring all customer interactions are accurately captured and managed through the system
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate professionalism through strong conflict management, influencing, collaboration and networking skills
- Apply sound commercial acumen across all customers and project interactions
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a strong focus on building rapport and long‑term relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of basic CAD drafting, with the ability to read and interpret plan drawings and elevations
- Apply extensive knowledge and experience of design fundamentals, including joinery specification, functionality and practical application
- Utilise sound building knowledge, including an understanding of NCC Building Codes and commercial operating systems
- Build and sustain strong professional relationships, managing conflict constructively and collaborating effectively across teams
- Demonstrate influencing and networking capability in a commercial environment
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of commercial and construction law to support business and customer outcomes

We are looking for a passionate team member who enjoys working with commercial clients and internal stakeholders. The BSS role is both rewarding and challenging, making it ideal for someone with a genuine interest in interiors, DIY or residential construction.
Design knowledge is not essential but will be highly regarded. You will also bring:
- Strong system capability and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- A genuine interest in being part of customer projects and seeing ideas transform into outstanding results
