The Details:
Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
$74,199 pa (ie. $37.55/hour) - incl. industry and uniform allowance + 12% super (level 3) - effective 1 July
76 hour fortnight
Location: Narangba

Work as part of our Natural Areas team delivering a range of environmental maintenance and conservation activities across diverse natural environments. You’ll work within small crews led by a Crew Leader, supporting the ongoing care of areas such as riparian zones, foreshore areas, urban interface zones and rainforest environments across a designated area.

This role involves a mix of field based activities, focused on maintaining and improving natural areas while supporting ecological outcomes.

This includes:
Ecological restoration and natural area conservation works
Maintaining recreational and fire trail networks
Participating in prescribed burns
Carrying out soft landscaping within natural areas
Undertaking general vegetation maintenance across a range of sites

The role is hands on and involves manual labouring tasks, chemical spraying and operating a range of plant and equipment, including 4WD vehicles, UTVs (utility terrain vehicles) and trucks.

Through this work, you will contribute to the preservation and enhancement of natural areas, helping to maintain safe, accessible and environmentally sustainable spaces for the community and local ecosystems.

About you

You have experience working in natural areas or similar environments and are comfortable undertaking a variety of manual and outdoor tasks.

You’ll also bring:
Experience in ecological restoration, vegetation management or similar field based work
The ability to safely perform manual labouring tasks and use relevant equipment
A willingness to work across a range of environments and conditions
Basic knowledge or experience with chemical spraying and environmental maintenance activities
The ability to work effectively as part of a small crew environment

In addition, you’ll also need to hold:
A current truck licence (minimum MR)
Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
