The Opportunity

Fountain Court Retirement Living is a vibrant retirement community in Burwood, known for its welcoming atmosphere and high quality service. As a Food & Beverage Attendant in our community café, you’ll deliver excellent service, assist with food preparation, help set up and pack down dining areas and events, and build meaningful relationships that enhance the daily lives of residents. In this role, you’ll do more than serve meals - you’ll support our residents, foster meaningful connections, and help create a sense of community.

We currently have a casual opportunity available helping our team on an ad-hoc basis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands! Availability will be asked on application.

Your Impact

  • Operate the POS/till at the counter, taking coffee, snack and light meal orders with friendly, personalised service to residents
  • Serve meals and drinks, ensuring every dining experience is welcoming and enjoyable
  • Assist with light food prep, including plating, restocking the display case and preparing simple menu items
  • Support the setup and pack-down of events and dining spaces, maintaining clean, organised, and inviting areas throughout the day.
  • Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging
What you'll bring

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is desirable, but a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is most important
  • Friendly, people-focused attitude with a genuine passion for customer service
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
  • Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
  • Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
