Area Manager - Multi-Site Hospitality Operations

Andonis Cafe & Bar | Brisbane & Surrounds, QLD

Ready to drive performance of more than just one cafe location?

At Andonis, we’re not your typical café group. We’ve grown to 14 locations, with a big focus on building great teams, creating destinations people love coming back to, and keeping our standards high as we continue to grow.

We’re looking for an experienced Area Manager who knows how to lead through people, drive performance across multiple locations, and make sure the little things don’t get missed.

This role is for someone who can zoom out, see what’s happening across their stores, identify where things need to improve, and make sure action actually happens. You’ll work closely with our Store Managers and Head Cooks to keep our locations running consistently, our leaders accountable, and our customers coming back.

If you’re commercially minded, big on standards, and the kind of person who follows things through rather than letting them slide, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead multiple locations: Oversee the day-to-day performance, standards and stability of your assigned cafés, working through your Store Managers to drive consistent results.

  • Develop strong leaders: Coach, support and performance-manage Store Managers, building their capability and holding them accountable for their stores.

  • Drive operational performance: Monitor store results, identify gaps and implement practical action plans to improve performance.

  • Own labour and cost control: Review labour performance, rostering, productivity and controllable costs to ensure stores are staffed effectively and operating efficiently.

  • Keep standards high: Ensure consistent execution across customer service, cleanliness, presentation, food quality and operational procedures.

  • Bring FOH and BOH together: Make sure Store Managers and Head Cooks are aligned, communicating effectively and working towards the same goals.

  • Stay on top of compliance: Maintain strong food safety, workplace health and safety, incident reporting and operational compliance across all locations.

  • Get out in on the ground: Conduct regular store visits, review performance, coach leaders and follow up on actions until issues are resolved.

  • Lead change and improvement: Support new initiatives, operational rollouts and improvements across your area.

  • Keep everyone accountable: Identify recurring issues early, communicate clearly with the Operations Manager and make sure nothing gets left half-finished.

What we're looking for

  • Proven multi-site management experience in hospitality, cafés, quick-service restaurants (QSR), food service or retail.

  • Experience leading multiple Store Managers or venue managers across different locations.

  • A strong understanding of hospitality operations, including labour cost control, rostering, productivity and customer experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve store performance, implement action plans and follow through on results.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the confidence to have direct conversations and hold people accountable.

  • A solid understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety and operational compliance.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to use performance data to identify opportunities and problems.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.

  • Coffee/ Barista experience (preferred).
