Palm Club is a new island-inspired café and bar coming to Williamstown.

We’re creating an all-day venue that moves from quality coffee and Caribbean-influenced food during the day into cocktails, music, events and social evenings as the sun goes down.

We’re looking for a hands-on Venue Manager who can lead the team, protect the culture and help establish Palm Club as one of Williamstown’s most exciting hospitality destinations.

This position is for someone who leads from the floor, not from the office.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the front-of-house and bar teams
  • Managing the venue’s day-to-day operations
  • Creating a positive, accountable and enjoyable workplace culture
  • Recruiting, onboarding, training and developing team members
  • Preparing rosters and managing labour effectively
  • Maintaining consistently high service standards
  • Monitoring stock, wastage and operating costs
  • Handling guest feedback professionally and proactively
  • Supporting functions, live music and venue activations
  • Working closely with the owners and kitchen team
  • Building repeat trade and strong relationships within the local community

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has hospitality leadership or venue-management experience
  • Leads calmly and communicates clearly
  • Can maintain strong standards without losing warmth or personality
  • Is commercially aware and comfortable working with numbers
  • Knows how to motivate and bring out the best in a team
  • Is willing to jump behind the bar, run food or clear tables when needed
  • Understands that workplace culture is created through everyday actions
  • Is excited by the opportunity to help build a venue from the ground up

A current Victorian RSA and availability across evenings and weekends will be required.
