About The Role

In the role of Assistant Chocolate Café Manager at Max Brenner, a day in your life will include:

  • Assist the Chocolate Café Manager to execute our daily operations and running of the store including store cleanliness and presentation
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the store including but not limited to rosters and marketing promotions
  • Lead by example and drive our Team Members to deliver memorable guest service and experience
  • Assist in the management of our people related tasks including training and development, coaching and feedback
  • Work with the Chocolate Café Manager to deliver on set sales budgets and manage labour spend, stock levels and other controllable expenses
  • Build morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team member input is encouraged and valued
  • Ensure all Max Brenner golden standards are upheld at all times
  • Manage, prepare and serve dessert menu items including but not limited to our famous Tutti Frutti Waffles, Chocolate Fondue and decadent Pizzas to the highest standard
  • Manage, prepare and serve our delicious drinks including coffees, hot chocolates and decadent milkshakes to the highest standard
  • Complete in-house training to keep you up to date

About You

To be successful in the role of Assistant Chocolate Café Manager at Max Brenner, you will have:

  • Previous management experience of minimum 1-2 years is essential
  • Previous hospitality or retail experience is essential
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and effectively communicate with a team
  • Energetic, positive and guest focused with can-do attitude
  • Passion for hospitality and love the energy that the industry brings
  • Enjoy creating memorable experiences for all our guests
  • Driven to provide exceptional guest service at all times
  • Ability to work well collaboratively as part of a team
