The Opportunity:

Put simply, a Studio Manager at Barrys studio is the heart of our business! This key role is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the studio, maintaining the overall experience for clients, as well as supervising the team, and ensuring multiple departments run smoothly. The Studio Manager ensures all the pieces are accounted for and connected, and also works in partnership with other managers as well as the corporate team, to ensure consistency and targets are met.

The Studio Manager is also the primary driver of the local community marketing for the studio. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and have an infectious passion (even obsession - we get it!) for fitness.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Studio and Retail Management

  • Drive class attendance and satisfaction goals in studio, in order to hit monthly targets.

  • Work with the retail team to lead direct selling to clients in studio including supporting visual merchandising and retail management.

  • Support and generate local community marketing initiatives to cultivate new clients and opportunities specific to the neighbourhood and demographic of the studio.

  • Support the Leadership Team to assist with implementing marketing strategies.

  • Analyse attendance at the studio and region level weekly, to bring insights and suggestions to the Executive, Marketing, or Curriculum team.

  • Manage studio accounting needs and utilise financial reports to identify areas of opportunity to drive revenue.

Employee Management

  • Supervise front desk employees engaging in product sales, customer service needs, inventory, and other special projects.

  • Assist front desk employees with difficult or complicated transactions.

  • Coordinate facility schedules to maximise usage and efficiency.

  • Support management and P&C team with any relevant employee issues and partner with them to resolve.

  • Work with management and P&C team on resourcing and recruitment needs.

  • Train and develop new studio staff.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 2+ years' experience in a management role.

  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.

  • Outstanding communication and people skills.

  • Knowledge of industry legal rules and guidelines.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Passion for health and fitness.
