Casual Café All-Rounder

Location: Toowoomba City, QLD
Employment Type: Casual
Pay: AU$32.00 – AU$42.92 per hour
Shifts: Approximately 1–4 shifts per week, depending on availability and business needs

Toowoomba Coffee House is looking for a reliable, friendly and energetic Casual Café All-Rounder to join our small team.

This position is suitable for someone who enjoys working with customers, can stay organised during busy periods and is willing to help with a variety of café duties.

University students and international students are very welcome to apply. We understand that university students may have changing class schedules, so availability can be discussed when arranging the roster.

Your duties may include:

  • Taking customer orders and processing payments
  • Serving meals, coffee and other beverages
  • Running food and drinks to tables
  • Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
  • Washing dishes and assisting with general kitchen duties
  • Keeping the café, service areas and workstations clean and organised
  • Restocking cups, cutlery, ingredients and other café supplies
  • Helping other team members during busy periods
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service

What we're looking for:

We would like to hear from someone who:

  • Is reliable and punctual
  • Has a friendly and positive attitude
  • Is comfortable working in a busy café environment
  • Can work efficiently and follow instructions
  • Is willing to learn different café duties
  • Works well as part of a small team
  • Notices what needs to be done and takes initiative
  • Is available for some weekday and/or weekend shifts

Previous café, hospitality or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential. Training can be provided to the right person.
