Our Client, Get India Bar & Restaurant is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Kitchen Hand to join its team in Townsville City.

Pay: AUD $70,000 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Duties

The Kitchenhand will be responsible for:

• Cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas and sculleries.
• Cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants.
• Transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment.
• Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking, including preparing salads, savouries and sandwiches.
• Packing food and beverage trays for serving.
• Cooking, toasting and heating simple food items.
• Assisting kitchen staff with general food preparation and kitchen duties.
• Maintaining clean, safe and organised kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Storing food supplies and kitchen equipment appropriately.
• Assisting with washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• AQF Certificate I or equivalent, or compulsory secondary education.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Kitchenhand or in a similar hospitality role.
