The Celebration Society is a unique retail destination offering everything you need for your seasonal celebrations and special occasions including a broad range of decor and gifts. We have sourced a vintage caravan that has been converted into an ice-cream and donut bar, serving great coffee, toasties, sweet treats and drinks.

We’re on the hunt for a talented Barista/Cafe All Rounder who is both enthusiastic and skilled. Most importantly, this person must support of the organisation’s values and mission.

The Person:

  • On top of your excellent barista skills you will need to be able to prep, cook and serve toasted sandwiches and cinnamon donuts. Training will be provided for donut making and sandwich prep.
  • Weekend availability with rotating shifts.
  • Time management and ability to multitask throughout the day.
  • Experience in a comparable environment is required.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently and liaise with other staff.
  • A real food - a passion for food and quality service.
  • Good communication skills with a team-first mentality.
  • Great work ethic with flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your solid understanding to prepare excellent coffee and drinks with consistency and precision.
  • Responsible for cleaning, stock control, maintenance, and daily step down of machine.
  • Speed, efficiency and quality is vital - as is the ability to set, adjust, correct machine and grinder settings.
  • Provide friendly, welcoming service, take orders, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Food prep skills.
  • Function support when required.
  • Sales, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and end of day reporting.

Preferred:

  • A Food Safety Certificate is required.
