We are seeking a Café Manager to join our Food & Beverage Team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.

Embraced by one of the world's most beautiful locations, the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre is an enticing destination to introduce visitors to both the stunning natural beauty of the Daintree and the rich culture of the Kuku Yalanji people.

As Café Manager, you will lead the daily operations of our café, driving exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance and a high-performing team culture. We’re looking for a hands-on hospitality leader with sharp commercial acumen, a passion for service excellence and the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

Key Duties
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Monitor sales, wage costs and expenses to achieve financial targets and KPIs
  • Manage rostering, stock control, supplier coordination and stocktakes
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
  • Coach, mentor and performance manage the Assistant Café Manager and café team

You will have:
  • Proven experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality leadership role
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs and labour costs
  • Experience in rostering, stock control and supplier management
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)
  • Current Food Safety and hygiene certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
