Barista / Café All-Rounder

The Coffee Emporium – Corrimal Village Shopping Centre, Corrimal NSW

The Coffee Emporium Corrimal is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team!

We’re a busy shopping centre café with a wonderful base of loyal regular customers. We pride ourselves on serving great coffee, providing friendly service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and is happy to pitch in wherever needed.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on café position where you’ll be involved in all aspects of our daily operations.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing and serving quality espresso coffee and other beverages.
  • Taking customer orders and operating the register.
  • Providing friendly counter and table service.
  • Assisting with food preparation and food service as required.
  • Helping with washing up and maintaining a clean, tidy and hygienic workspace.
  • Supporting the team during busy periods and helping the café run smoothly.

About you

We’d love to hear from someone who:

  • Has a friendly, positive personality and genuinely enjoys interacting with customers.
  • Has good English communication skills and is comfortable serving customers.
  • Has barista experience, or is keen to learn and develop their coffee-making skills.
  • Is reliable, well-presented and has a strong work ethic.
  • Can work well as part of a team and use their initiative.
  • Is happy to assist with all aspects of café operations.

Hospitality experience is an advantage, but a great attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important.

Hours and availability

We can offer a flexible roster depending on the successful applicant’s availability and our business needs.

  • Tuesday availability is essential.
  • Shifts may start from 6:45 am, with finishing times varying up to 5:30 pm.
  • Weekend availability is preferred and will be an advantage.
  • Additional hours may be available for applicants who would like to work more.

Hours and employment arrangements will be discussed with the successful applicant.
