Job Overview

We are seeking a vibrant, hard-working, and customer-focused Café All-Rounder / Waitress to join our fast-paced team.

In this role, you will be the face of our café, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. As an "all-rounder," you will work flexibly across the floor, front counter, and basic kitchen prep—stepping in wherever needed to create an outstanding experience for our guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Warmly greet guests, present menus, take accurate food and drink orders, and escort customers to tables.
• Floor Operations: Swiftly serve food and beverages, clear and wipe tables, and manage table rotations during busy peak periods.
• POS & Cash Handling: Efficiently operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, process cash and electronic card payments, and handle split bills accurately.
• Food & Beverage Support: Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., toasties, sandwiches, prepping garnishes) and restock grab-and-go fridges, counter displays, and condiments.
• Barista Duties (Optional/As Needed): Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages in line with café quality standards.
• Hygiene & Cleanliness: Maintain food hygiene and safety standards. Clean espresso equipment, wash dishes, empty bins, and ensure front-of-house areas remain pristine.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced café, restaurant, or customer service environment is highly regarded (but on-the-job training can be provided).
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming approach and a high standard of spoken English.
• Multitasking: Strong organizational skills and the physical stamina to stay calm, fast, and efficient under high-pressure rush hours.
• Teamwork: A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a willingness to assist team members across both front and back-of-house tasks.
• Certifications (Desirable): A valid Food Handling Certificate

Work Location: In person
