LXD Lounge is seeking a friendly, experienced and customer-focused Café & Front of House All-Rounder to join our team at Chadstone Tower One.

LXD Lounge is a premium business lounge and conference venue offering café-style hospitality, hotdesking facilities, conference rooms and event spaces for corporate clients, professionals and their guests.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, enjoys providing excellent customer service and takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional environment.

This is a hands-on role combining daily café operations, barista duties, front-of-house service and support for our conference and event facilities. You'll be an important part of the client experience, ensuring guests receive warm, attentive service and that our venue is consistently presented to a high standard.

The position offers regular weekday hours, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional weekend shifts required to support scheduled events.

In this role, you will

Café & barista service

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages
Operate and maintain the coffee machine and associated equipment
Deliver friendly, efficient café service to members, clients and visitors
Assist with food service, display presentation and catering preparation
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards throughout the café
Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking supplies

Front of house & client experience

Welcome clients, members, guests and visitors with a professional and friendly approach
Create a positive first impression and provide attentive customer service
Respond to enquiries and assist guests with their needs
Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the lounge, café and shared areas
Support daily venue operations and ensure the space remains welcoming and organised

Conferencing & events

Assist with setting up conference rooms and event spaces according to client requirements
Prepare rooms with water, stationery, catering and other requested amenities
Assist with catering presentation, service and dietary labelling
Support event setup, pack-down and room resets
Assist with corporate meetings, workshops, networking functions and other events
Work collaboratively with the venue management team to ensure a seamless client experience

About you

You're a confident barista and hospitality professional who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You're proactive, organised and comfortable moving between café service, front-of-house duties and event support throughout the day.

You'll also bring:

Previous experience in a café, hospitality or front-of-house role
Proven barista skills and the ability to prepare quality espresso coffee independently
Knowledge of coffee preparation, milk texturing and coffee machine operation
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A professional, friendly and well-presented approach
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, polished environment
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A reliable, flexible and team-oriented attitude
An understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling
Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, with occasional weekend shifts

Experience in corporate hospitality, catering, conferencing or event operations will be highly regarded.
