Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team and help maintain the high standards that define the Red Cacao experience.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our kitchen, supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organisation, and assisting the pastry and kitchen team as required.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and is keen to develop their skills within a quality-focused food business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks.
  • Prepare ingredients and support production activities as directed.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and preparation areas.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Support stock rotation and storage procedures.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Assist with packing, presentation, and preparation of products when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, food production, or café environment is preferred but not essential.
