ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

THE POSITIONS

  • Housekeeping staff support village by:
    • Maintaining the health, safety, and comfort of workers living and operating in remote mining camps
    • Ensuring minimum of 20 rooms as well as communal areas, offices, and amenities are serviced each shift
    • Duties include changing linens, disinfecting bathrooms, vacuuming rooms, restocking supplies, and managing laundry services
  • Catering staff support kitchen and dining operations by:
    • Assisting with food preparation
    • Maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
    • Ensuring food safety standards are upheld
  • Minesite staff contribute to the upkeep of operational areas by:
    • Performing waste management duties
    • Conducting general maintenance tasks
    • Supporting logistics across the site
  • All utility staff, including cleaners, catering, and minesite workers:
    • Operate in harsh and isolated environments
    • Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols
    • Collaborate closely with catering, cleaning, maintenance, and site management teams
    • Help ensure the village remains clean, functional, and welcoming
    • Play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and morale of the workforce
    • Are essential to the overall success of the mining operation

THE PERSON

  • High attention to detail and ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Background in hospitality, housekeeping, industrial or commercial cleaning
  • Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safe use of equipment
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and hot weather conditions
  • Australian Driver’s Licence required for certain roles
  • Reside in SA with full work rights
  • Ability to work 11-hour shifts, day or night, and assist in other areas as needed
