    • Must have experience with Square or similar setup.
    • Coffee experience is a bonus.
    • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred).
    • Confident with basic food prep (you’ll be making fresh sandwiches too!).
    • Willing to follow our SOPs (standard operating procedures).
    • Making smoothies, juices, coffees, and café drinks.
    • Waiting tables and serving customers.
    • Opening and closing the café.

ABOUT RECESS

We’re a fast paced grab & go sandwich shop in Surry Hills, serving coffee, sandwiches, and salads.

Our mission is to provide everyday people with high-quality, convenient brekky & lunch options - and have a good time doing it!

THE ROLE

We’re looking for someone who’s confident both behind the machine and front of house.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Making coffee & matcha to a high standard
  • Greeting customers, taking orders
  • General help – restocking, tidying, keeping service smooth

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years Barista experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Previous work experience in Australia a plus

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Award rates under the Fast Food Industry Award
  • 2-3 shifts per week - with the potential for more
  • Training across all areas of the shop
  • Lunch every shift + as much coffee as you need :)

Pay: From $34.76 per hour
