About Us

New York Minute (NYM) is a fast-growing gourmet burger restaurant in Brunswick East, known for serving premium burgers, loaded fries, shakes, and great customer service. We’ve recently launched our specialty coffee program and are looking for a passionate and experienced Barista to help us build a strong coffee reputation alongside our food.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly environment and take pride in making consistently excellent coffee, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Barista who can work independently, deliver

high-quality coffee consistently, and provide outstanding customer service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a small, supportive team and is happy to assist with front-of-house duties during quieter periods.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based coffees
  • Delivering friendly and professional customer service
  • Taking customer orders and processing payments
  • Assisting with food handover and takeaway orders
  • Managing online delivery orders (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.)
  • Keeping the coffee station and front-of-house clean and organised
  • Restocking supplies throughout the day
  • Opening and/or closing the café area depending on shifts
  • Working efficiently during busy service periods
  • Helping create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous barista experience (essential)
  • Ability to dial in espresso and maintain coffee quality throughout service
  • Experience with latte art is highly regarded
  • Friendly, energetic and reliable personality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Food handling knowledge is an advantage
