Hello Sarnie is an Australian grab-and-go sandwich and corporate catering business inspired by British café culture. Founded in Adelaide in 2015, we specialise in fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads and coffee designed for busy customers who want quality food without the wait. We’re now continuing our growth in Sydney with our new North Sydney store.

We’re looking for an experienced Barista / All-Rounder to join our team at 99 Mount Street, North Sydney.

This is a hands-on all-rounder role for someone who makes consistently great coffee, enjoys customer service and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed. While strong coffee skills are essential, you’ll also assist with customers, orders, presentation, cleaning and the general day-to-day running of the store.

You’ll need to be confident working independently when required, while also being a strong team player in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and serving consistently high-quality coffee and beverages
• Delivering friendly, efficient and genuine customer service
• Taking customer orders accurately using our POS system
• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented coffee and service area
• Assisting across the store wherever needed
• Maintaining high standards of product quality, presentation and service
• Using initiative and keeping things moving during busy periods

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years’ barista experience, preferably in a busy café or high-volume environment
• Strong espresso extraction and milk-texturing skills
• Confidence producing basic latte art
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Reliable, organised and able to multitask
• Strong initiative — you notice what needs doing and get on with it
• Friendly and confident communication skills
• A genuine focus on customer service
• Someone experienced enough to hit the ground running

Hours and availability

• Casual / Part-Time
• Initially approximately 10–15 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours
• Shifts rostered between approximately 6:15am and 4:30pm
• Monday to Saturday
• No Sundays
• Strong weekday and early-morning availability will be highly regarded

Pay: Competitive award-based pay from $24.34 to $34.76+ per hour, depending on age and experience, plus higher Saturday penalty rates.
