A day in the life of a cafe all rounder at SOHO....

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to cafe standards.
  • Greet and interact with customers in a warm and professional manner.
  • Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately.
  • Restock supplies and ensure the front of house is always well presented.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the cafe.
  • Handle both cash and card payments efficiently.

A day in the life of a Kitchen Hand at SOHO.....

  • Clean and maintain general kitchen areas, including dishwashing and waste management.
  • Unpack and sign off deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and packed away properly.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well stocked food preparation area.
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily service targets and standards.

A day in the life of a Team Leader at SOHO.....

  • Manage received goods at the cafe and place orders with our suppliers.
  • Verify and submit invoices accurately.
  • Train front of house team members in store processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with our hygiene standards.
  • Report and communicate necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding all aspects of cafe operations.
  • Assist with food and beverage preparation, including coffee service when required.

About You

To be considered for these roles, you must display the following:

  • Cafe all rounder: Minimum 1 year of cafe experience as an all rounder or a Barista (must have prior coffee making skills).
  • Kitchen hand: Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience, ideally in a Kitchen hand or similar role.
  • Team leader: Prior experience in a Team leader or Supervisor position, where you were responsible for ordering stock.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training can be provided).
  • Organised and efficient with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn with a can-do attitude.
