We are a proud, family-owned South Australian bakery dedicated to producing quality baked goods and delicious food for our customers.

We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Casual Cook / Baker’s Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in producing quality products and is looking for an ongoing role in a supportive family business. Whether you have experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery, or are keen to build on your existing food preparation skills, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

Working alongside our bakery team, your duties will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of a variety of food products and baked goods
• Helping with baking, food preparation and daily production requirements
• Measuring ingredients, preparing mixes and following recipes
• Assisting with assembling, finishing and preparing products for sale
• Packing, labelling and storing products correctly
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen and production area
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Working collaboratively with the team and assisting with other general kitchen and bakery duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
• Has a genuine interest in cooking, baking and food preparation
• Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, hospitality or food production environment (preferred but not essential)
• Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Can follow recipes, instructions and established procedures
• Understands the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Works well independently and as part of a small team
• Can work efficiently in a busy, hands-on environment
• Is comfortable standing for extended periods and carrying out general physical duties
• Is willing to learn, show initiative and help wherever needed

Hours & Availability

• Casual position, with approximately 25 hours per week to start, with the possibility of leading to a full time permanent role for the right candidate
• Monday to Friday, with shifts generally between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm
• Possibility of weekend work where required by agreement, with shifts varying according to production requirements
