About the role

We’re on the lookout for a friendly Café Assistant/Barista to join the team at RAA 1903 Café in the heart of Adelaide city. This is a casual role where you’ll be front and centre - crafting great coffee, serving up tasty food, and helping create a welcoming experience for RAA members and staff every day.

Reporting to the Café Operations Manager, you’ll be a key part of the daily rhythm - delivering warm, consistent service while keeping food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards high.

What you'll do

Make consistently high-quality coffee and hot drinks
Provide warm, professional service to the public and our RAA community
Assist with simple food preparation and keep service flowing smoothly
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
Jump in with general café duties to support the team and keep the space looking great

About you

You’re upbeat, reliable, and love the buzz of a busy café - minus the late nights. You’ll bring:

Solid barista experience and confident coffee-making skills
Background in a fast-paced café or customer service environment
A genuine, customer-first mindset
Basic food preparation know-how
Strong teamwork and clear communication
The ability to stay calm, organised, and welcoming when things get busy
