About the Role

Caffe & Co is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team. We’re passionate about serving great coffee, providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every customer who walks through our doors.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a passion for coffee and hospitality. You’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and ensuring every customer has a great experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and other beverages.
  • Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service.
  • Take customer orders, process payments and operate the POS system.
  • Maintain consistency in coffee quality, presentation and service.
  • Keep the café clean, organised and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Restock coffee beans, milk, cups and other supplies as required.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to a positive, welcoming and team-oriented workplace.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous barista or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming and latte art is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
