Full job description

We are seeking temporary Front of House staff to join KOOZA, a Cirque du Soleil production coming to Brisbane. VIPeople is an industry-leading supplier of professional and friendly casual event staff to a wide variety of sporting and entertainment venues throughout Australia, and we are thrilled to be hiring Front of House (FOH) staff for this spectacular event.

We strive to create an environment unlike any other entertainment event worldwide, going above and beyond to exceed guests’ expectations in customer service. Successful candidates will be required to provide a valid police check upon appointment of their department and role

The Show runs from August 1st – October 4th

Mandatory Training Date: 1st August 2026

Weekday Shifts range between the hours of  3pm – 11:30pm

Weekend shifts start time may vary starting 9.30am-10.30pm

Required Availability – 4-5 days a week

Location - 461A Curtin Ave E, Eagle Farm QLD 4009

This includes evenings and weekend shifts.

Some team members in certain roles will require you to hold or willing to obtain a valid QLD White Card

USHER

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Use ticket scanners to admit guests, verify ticket validity, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Greet guests at the entrance of the Big Top with a friendly, upbeat attitude and assist them to their designated seats in an orderly manner
  • Provide guests with relevant information, including the locations of toilets, concessions, concierge, etc.
  • Respond to guest questions, address concerns, and handle complaints to ensure a positive experience for all attendees
  • Maintain guest safety by guiding patrons to and from their seats using a flashlight when needed, keeping pathways clear, and ensuring exits are unobstructed
  • Monitor guest behavior and identify disorderly conduct to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
  • Clean the Big Top after each show, including collecting trash, sweeping, and mopping, ensuring the space is show-ready for the next performance
  • Assist guests with special needs to ensure accessibility and comfort
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be comfortable working in a loud and dark environment
  • Be able to stand and walk up and down stairs for long periods
  • Have a strong understanding of hospitality and customer service
  • Apply sound judgement and the ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure
  • Be willing to work in other departments as needed

BOX OFFICE ASSOCIATE

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Sell tickets at the window using Cirque du Soleil’s ticketing system
  • Assist customers and answer all questions with confidence and efficiency
  • Manage the will call pick-ups and reprints
  • Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with purchase decisions
  • Resolve customer issues and conflicts, with help from a supervisor
  • Understand and relate purchasing policies to customers
  • Collect complete and accurate data from customers while ensuring high standards of data privacy
  • Follow proper money purchases and reconcile daily transactions
  • Ascertain and resolve customer concerns, requests, and/or complaints in a timely, courteous, and informed manner
  • Contribute to the environment of the box office in a manner that is conducive to customer service, sales promotion, safety, and quality of work life
  • Keep the working environment clean, neat, and organized 
  • Performs other duties as required. 

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Must hold a Valid QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
  • Must hold a Valid QLD Food Handlers Certificate
  • Possess the ability to learn ticketing software and retain a high level of complex information. 
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of our products and be comfortable with upselling
  • Be comfortable working in a loud environment
  • Be willing to work in other departments as needed
  • Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture. Note: Employees are responsible for arriving in black shirts, pants and shoes (no logos). 
  • Be physically able to stand up for long hours and walk long distances across the working site
  • Has a strong understanding of customer service and hospitality

MERCHANDISE SELLER

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Drive merchandise sales by actively engaging guests on the sales floor and processing transactions at the point of sale
  • Understand sales goals and contribute to achieving targets through proactive selling initiatives
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations
  • Operate POS systems, handling money transactions efficiently
  • Uphold visual merchandising standards through organized, accurate, and timely restocking
  • Prepare purchases by bagging, boxing, or gift-wrapping items with care and attention to detail
  • Address guest concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly and providing accurate information
  • Assist with receiving and organizing shipments, including lifting and moving boxes as needed

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have sales experience, any retail experience a plus
  • Be enthusiastic with a fun attitude while working on the floor and engaging with guests
  • Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain information
  • Be comfortable working in a loud environment
  • Be willing to assist in other departments as needed

CONCIERGE

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Sell seat upgrades, VIP Lounge upgrades, and experience packages (backstage tour, Meet our Artists)
  • Sell tickets and upgrade packages using Cirque du Soleils ticketing system
  • Assist customers and answer all questions with confidence and efficiency 
  • Maintain knowledge of products currently available and assist customers with purchase decisions
  • Understand and relate purchasing policies to guests 
  • Collect complete and accurate data from customers while ensuring high standards of data privacy
  • Follow proper money purchases and reconcile daily transactions
  • Ascertain and resolve customers concerns, conflicts, requests, and/or complaints in a timely, courteous, and informed manner
  • Contribute to the environment of the concierge in a manner that is conducive to customer service, sales promotion, safety, and quality of work life
  • Keep the working environment clean, neat, and organized
  • Performs other duties as required

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have a background in sales experience
  • Possess the ability to learn ticketing software and retain a high level of complex information
  • Maintaining knowledge of products and be confident with upselling services with an upbeat attitude
  • Be comfortable working in a loud environment
  • Be willing to assist in other departments as needed

FOOD & BEVERAGE ATTENDANT

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works in assigned concession area, covering various duties each shift
  • Serves customers and manages cash registers, while maintaining a friendly and upbeat attitude
  • Prepares and serves food & beverages to customers
  • Maintains accurate product knowledge and can answer all customer inquiries efficiently and politely
  • Ensures the concession area remains clean, stocked, and orderly
  • Facilitates closing inventory and cleaning duties, which also include deep cleaning of machinery
  • Performs other duties as required after each selling period

The ideal candidate will:

  • Valid QLD Food handling certification required
  • Valid QLD RSA certificate Required
  • Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain the information, as well as the range of products
  • Ability to uphold strict cleaning procedures
  • Be comfortable working in a loud environment
  • Be willing to assist in other departments as needed
  • Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture.
