The Opportunity
The Casual/Relief Concierge provides front-line support to students, staff, contractors and visitors at the College, acting as the first point of contact at reception and operating the College’s switchboard. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming and professional environment, ensuring building occupants and visitors receive a positive customer experience.
This is a casual/relief opportunity, with shifts offered as required to provide reception and switchboard coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome students, staff, contractors and visitors to the College, issue visitor passes and lanyards, and facilitate a smooth check-in process.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the College’s facilities and direct visitors to the appropriate locations and services.
  • Respond to student enquiries about College programs and enrolment processes, providing relevant information and directing students to appropriate resources and support services.
  • Manage incoming telephone enquiries through the College’s switchboard, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and courteously.
  • Work collaboratively with Facilities, Student Services and other key stakeholders to support daily operations and deliver a positive experience for the College community.
  • Provide flexible reception and concierge coverage as required, including supporting periods of staff leave and other operational needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Experience in front-line customer service, with a genuine enthusiasm for assisting people and creating positive customer experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of students, staff and visitors.
  • Experience in the higher education sector, particularly within international education services, will be highly regarded.
  • The ability to respond to enquiries confidently, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to providing a welcoming and professional service.
  • A relevant post-secondary qualification, such as a Certificate-level qualification, will be advantageous.
