We’re transforming how hospitality is delivered across our Residential Aged Care homes, bringing culinary standards, consistency, and heart into every meal, every menu, every resident interaction.

And we need someone who can lead that change

What you’ll really be doing

This isn’t a desk job. And it’s not just strategy.

You’ll be out on site, working alongside chefs, kitchen teams, and care staff helping them lift standards, build confidence, and deliver hospitality they’re proud of.

  • Turning inconsistent kitchens into well run, high performing operations
  • Supporting teams through major catering transitions
  • Building simple, practical SOPs that actually get used
  • Coaching teams to deliver safe, high quality, resident focused dining
  • Balancing quality, compliance, and cost without losing the human touch

Who this role is for

This role will suit someone who:

  • Has run kitchens, catering operations, or multi-site hospitality environments
  • Knows how to bring structure and standards into complex environments
  • Is just as comfortable on the floor as they are planning operations
  • Can coach, influence, and lift teams not just direct them
  • Wants to do work that means something beyond service metrics

You might be:

  • A Head Chef ready to step into broader operations
  • A Catering Manager with multi-site experience
  • Based in Sydney or surrounds and willing to travel
  • A Hospitality Leader looking to move into a more purpose-driven sector

What you’ll need

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality Management, or similar
  • Strong experience in hospitality or culinary operations
  • Experience across multiple sites or complex environments
  • Confidence with food safety, compliance, and operational standards
  • A practical mindset, you know how to make things work in real life

What's in it for you!

  • Salary Packaging ($15,900), plus meal and entertainment benefit package to the value of $2,650
  • Heart HQ - our Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) People Platform, packed with exclusive retail discounts, and features designed to help you celebrate, connect and succeed
