About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our community care team in Launceston.

This role involves providing personal care and light domestic assistance to client. You'll play an important role in supporting clients to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful and person-centred personal care.
  • Assist with showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Encourage clients to maintain independence wherever possible.
  • Assist with light domestic tasks, including bed making and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
  • Follow individual care plans and organisational policies.
  • Monitor client wellbeing and report any concerns appropriately.
  • Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.
  • Build positive relationships with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home & Community) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in home care, aged care, disability support, or community services.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Current Working with Children Check (if required).
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
