River to Bay is looking for bright and energetic individuals with a strong work ethic and passion for the maritime sector.

About River to Bay

River to Bay is popular tour operator in Brisbane offering a variety of tours from snorkeling to private charters covering the river to the bay!

About the Role

Your role will be to work closely with the skipper and the passengers onboard to create unforgettable experiences. You are the passengers main point of contact through the day so time management and a personable attitude is essential. You will be required to use POS terminals for onboard sales as well has have basic marine knowledge and rope skills.

We currently operate an 11M Vessel that carries a maximum of 20 Passengers. Your role on This vessel is crucial as your personality plays a massive part in the tour experience. We are also expanding to a larger 24M vessel which a variety of positions will be available from Deckhand/Host to Bartender. New hires will be primary positioned/trained on one vessel however there will be opportunities to move and advance positions.

Pay

Pay for this position is at award level based on experience and qualifications - opportunities for pay increases and bonuses are also applicable for the right candidate

About You

  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service, safety for of our customers.
  • You will be able to work a variety of shifts: , weekends and public holidays are essential. Majority shifts will be full day in duration.
  • You will be able to start work at different locations where our fleet is housed.
  • You will be able to take and follow instructions from our Skippers.
  • Understand and be committed to Work Health and Safety (WH&S).
  • Apply effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Very well presented and physically capable of performing the role.
  • Comply with all training associated with the role: drills, safety training.

Qualifications/Skills

  • You will need to possess an RSA
  • Possess current CPR/First Aid Certificate or can obtain
  • Comfortable in the water snorkeling/guiding Guests is a MUST
  • GPH/ESS certification highly regarded but not essential
  • Boat license highly regarded but not essential
