FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED CHEF WANTED

COASTLINE RESTAURANT & BAR PTY LTD trading as Pier Farm is searching for experienced and creative Chefs to join our vibrant team at our waterfront location in Williamstown, VIC.

About the Role:

As a Chef at Pier Farm, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the consistent delivery of exceptional cuisine:

· Menu planning and development: Collaborate with the culinary team to design innovative menus that reflect seasonal offerings and culinary trends.

· Cost control: Estimate food and labour costs, and manage inventory to ensure efficient resource allocation.

· Quality assurance: Meticulously monitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation, upholding our high standards.

· Communication and collaboration: Effectively communicate with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to discuss food preparation and address any concerns.

· Skill sharing: Demonstrate culinary techniques and provide guidance on cooking procedures to elevate the skills of the kitchen team.

· Culinary expertise: Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients, adhering to recipes and maintaining consistent quality.

· Hygiene and safety: Champion a culture of hygiene and safety in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

· Staff development: Play a role in selecting and training new kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

· Food preservation: Employ techniques for freezing and preserving food items to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
