Nic and Kolo is an Award Winning cafe in the Applecross Village, exclusively showcasing fresh WA produce through an approachable, contemporary and asian fusion menu in a modern and relaxed atmosphere. We are open 7 days/week from 7 am to 3.30 pm for Brunch. Nic and Kolo is fully licensed.

We are seeking for a suitably qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. If you have at least two years post qualification experience in a quality establishment, contact us.

The successful applicant for this position will:

• Have the proven ability to work in a small team in a la carte kitchens
• Be a team player, hold a positive view on teamwork and strive to motivate team and co-workers
• Have experience in cooking grill/garnish and a la carte breakfast and dinner for a medium sized restaurant
• Have the ability to cope in a fast paced environment
• Be able to work in all areas of the kitchen and take an active role in helping develop our menus which change seasonally
• Have excellent communication skills and be well organised
• Must be willing and available to work weekends and rostered shifts (including some public holidays)
• Ensure all food preparation meets standards
• Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
• Report and manage hygiene and hazard issues

A strong focus on maintaining professional standards in food preparation and hygiene is a must.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year
