About Us

Cup & Co is an established and busy café located in Floreat, Western Australia. We are committed to providing high-quality food, fresh ingredients and excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, cook and present high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.
  • Develop and improve menus, including seasonal specials.
  • Oversee daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage ordering and minimise food wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with food costing and kitchen budget management.
  • Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods.
  • Train, guide and supervise kitchen staff as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:

  • AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working as a Chef in a professional commercial kitchen.
  • Experience in a busy café or restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Sound understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
