Port Macquarie is a beautiful coastal holiday city filled with ocean breezes and sunshine. We are looking for a passionate Japanese Demi Chef to join us on this journey.

[Who We Are Looking For] We are looking for an experienced chef who is:

  • Proficient in Japanese Hot Food and Sushi Roll making. (Must have strong sense and experience in these areas)
  • Open to creative menu development and team collaboration.
  • Eager to grow together and share responsibilities.
  • Looking to build a new beginning in a fresh environment.

[Key Responsibilities]

  • Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and quality standards.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and food quality.
  • Assist with menu planning, including seasonal menu updates, while maintaining cost control.
  • Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Manage stock control, including inventory management, stock rotation, and minimisation of food wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise cooks and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly.

[Working Conditions]

  • Location: Port Macquarie, NSW (A stunning coastal city approx. 4 hours north of Sydney, on the way to Brisbane)
  • Roster: 5 days a week
  • Incentives: Performance-based incentives provided.
