The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team.

This is a hands-on role that will involve preparing and presenting high-quality meals across our café, restaurant, weddings, conferences and events. You will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to maintain exceptional food quality, consistency and service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
  • Assisting with menu preparation and seasonal menu development
  • Maintaining food quality, consistency and presentation standards
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Managing stock rotation, storage and inventory control
  • Supporting the training and development of junior kitchen staff
  • Contributing to efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods
  • Assisting with functions, weddings, conferences and special events

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant trade qualification as a Chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude and team-focused approach
  • Pride in producing quality food and guest experiences
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Experience across café, restaurant, functions or events operations will be highly regarded.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
