Daily Grind RDH Café, a high-volume café situated at the Royal Darwin Hospital, is seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic and energetic team. We are currently recruiting for various positions, including Barista, Chefs, Cooks, Baristas, Restaurant Managers, Bar Attendant, and Bar Supervisor.

* **Chefs/Cooks:**

  • Plan and assist menus, manage budgets, train kitchen staff, and prepare and cook food.
  • Ensure exceptional service and high-quality food, maintaining consistency.
  • Prioritise health and safety standards, manage stock levels, and proactively prepare for service.
  • discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

* **Baristas:**

  • replenishing drink dispensers, shelves and refrigerators

* **Cafe Manager:**

  • Lead the team in maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and safety.
  • Lead training and induction programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.

* **Bar Attendant:**

  • Greeting guests, and suggesting and taking food and beverage orders.
  • Serving food and drinks to patrons at tables.
  • Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen.
  • Bussing from tables.
  • General cleaning

* **Bar Supervisor:**

  • Assist is overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless service and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Assist manage staff, coordinate schedules, and maintain inventory.
  • Assist in Implement rostering strategies to optimise staffing levels.
  • Leadership and Training;
  • Assist in lead the team in maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and safety.
  • Assist in lead training and induction programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate with kitchen team and barista’s on stock level
  • Organising the team to ensure speedy efficient service
  • Greeting guests, and suggesting and taking food and beverage orders.

**Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:**

All Positions:

* High level of attention to detail and a passion for providing excellent service.

Chefs/Cooks: $65,000 – $73,000

* Cert III, IV, or a Diploma in Hospitality.

* Proven track record in food production and kitchen management.

* Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Baristas: $60,000 – $70,000

* minimum 1 year experience in preparing coffee and other beverages in a high volume cafe.

**Knowledge of diverse coffee beans and brewing techniques is advantageous.**

Cafe Manager: $68,000 – $75,000

* Cert IV or Diploma-level qualification is preferred.

* Strong leadership skills and experience in team management are essential.

* Proven ability to oversee operations and meet customer expectations.

* Minimum 2 years of managerial or supervisor experience.

Bar Attendants: $60,000 – $65,000

* Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage service is preferred.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

* Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices is paramount.

* Ability to accurately take orders and perform efficiently under pressure.

Bar Supervisor: $63,000- $70,000

* 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage service is preferred.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

* Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices is essential.

* Ability to accurately take orders and perform efficiently under pressure.

* Leadership skills and experience in team development are required.
