Ellenika Restaurant, located at the beautiful Marina Pier in Adelaide, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. If you’re excited about creating fresh, flavourful Mediterranean dishes with a modern twist, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Mediterranean dishes, with a focus on traditional Greek flavours and fresh, local ingredients.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak times, maintaining a calm and organised environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the menu by suggesting new dishes or seasonal specials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, following all food hygiene and health regulations.
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ensuring the proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Support the executive chef and other kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, ideally with experience in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques, and health & safety standards.
  • A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences with a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as the restaurant is busy during these times.
