Full job description

The Truffle Farm Canberra is looking for a Cook.

Type of employment: Full Time

Hours per week: 38

Salary: $76,800 to $80,000

Required Qualifications:

· Formal qualification of at least Certificate IV; and

· At least 2 years of directly relevant experience as a Chef

Main Tasks Include:

· Planning menus

· Estimating food and material costs;

· Ordering food and other necessary supplies;

· Monitoring quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation

· Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, and kitchen and waiting staff

· Demonstrating techniques and advising staff on cooking procedures

· Preparing and cooking food, and supervising kitchen staff

· Monitoring, maintaining, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations to the staff

· Assist in selection and training of staff

· Train new Kitchen employees.
