Full job description

We are looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced Full-Time Chef specialising in Indian Food at Indian Corner at Wilson.

We are established and a busy restaurant serving our loyal customers with Indian Taste at Burnie, Tasmania over 7 years. We are looking for a chef who can demonstrate abilities as listed below;

· able to manage and cook for bookings, caterings and walk-ins.

· able to plan menu’s and price menu items

· cooking and preparing entrees, mains, desserts, and other menu items

· follows food safety procedures, occupational health and safety procedures, and maintains hygiene

· training kitchen staff

· communicating management on profit margin, estimating food labour cost, and negotiating with supply orders.

· checking the quality of food items and doing stocktakes

· Supervising Nan cooking in Tandoor and curry items.

Must have minimum of 1 year of work experience. Experience in in Indian cuisine could be an added advantage.

Local applicants will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
