Child Consultant jobs

POSITION

• Collaborate and lead in partnership with Child Safety, ASC colleagues, and community services by building strong, trusted relationships that support effective co-response and referral pathways.
• Deliver expert, child-focused practice by responding to referrals, engaging families, and conducting thorough, strengths-based assessments aligned with operational guidelines and Act for Kids policies.
• Drive coordinated outcomes through regular, high-quality communication with Child Safety Officers and active participation in stakeholder meetings, joint training, and professional development activities.
• Represent Act for Kids with integrity and accountability by maintaining accurate client data, upholding ethical practice, and contributing positively to team, organisational, and sector-wide collaboration.
• Part time [0.4FTE], backfill opportunity until 06 November 2026 with possible extension.
• Level 5 under the SCHCADS award.
• Open to all suitably experienced candidates. Preference will be given to local applicants due to meal and travel funding limitations.
