Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a proudly family-owned childcare service with over 10 years of experience in the early childhood education and care sector. We provide high-quality education and care for children aged 9 months to 6 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Preschool Room Leader & Educational Leader to join our passionate team.
The Role
As the Preschool Room Leader & Educational Leader, you will play a key leadership role within the service by supporting curriculum quality, mentoring educators, and leading best practice across the preschool program and service.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leading and mentoring the preschool team to deliver high-quality educational programs
- Overseeing curriculum planning, documentation, assessments of learning, and reflective practice
- Ensuring programs align with EYLF, NQS, and service philosophy
- Supporting educators with programming/planning, observations, professional development, and best practice
- Creating inclusive, engaging, and stimulating learning environments leading by example
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community
- Supporting the Nominated Supervisor with compliance and quality improvement
- Acting as the Responsible Person when required
- Promoting best practice in health, safety, and child protection
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Hold a genuine passion for early childhood education, leading by example and mentoring educators to achieve best practice
- Strong working knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Room Leader or Lead Educator (Assessment & Rating experience highly regarded)
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection training
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support continuous improvement
