Full job description

As a Support Worker, you will be assisting participants with their daily activities, promote their independence, and support their goals through high-quality, compassionate care. You’ll working in-home, out in the community, and sometimes in shared accommodation settings.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide personal care including showering, dressing, and grooming

•Support with household tasks like cleaning, cooking, and shopping

•Assist in community participation (e.g., taking them to appointments, social outings)

•Help with medication prompting and documentation

•Encourage skill development and independence

•Maintain accurate shift notes and communication with the team

•Follow NDIS practice standards and participant support plans

Requirements

•Current Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check

•Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

•Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

•Proof of working rights in Australia

•Working with Children Check

•Experience supporting individuals with disabilities (preferred but not essential)

•Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

•Friendly, respectful, reliable, and committed to empowering others

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Melbourne VIC 3000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Working with Children Check (Preferred)
  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
