What is the Talent Register?
The Child Protection Frontline Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for full time and part time opportunities that are:
- fixed term/secondment up to twelve (12) months, or
- transfer at level for existing permanent public sector employees

Child Safety Practitioner (CSQ1) - $89,000 - $111,000 per annum
Child Safety Practitioners work with children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in crisis to ensure children are safe and protected from harm.

Qualification Requirements – Child Safety Practitioner
You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Refer to our website for information about the qualification requirements for this role, and how we will be assessing your qualifications.
If you do not hold an approved qualification for the Child Safety Practitioner role, please apply for one of the below roles:
Case Support Officer (OOU2) – $76,912 - $82,464 per annum.
Providing direct support to Child Safety Practitioner s by collecting, recording and analysing client information, and engaging with children, families, government and non-government support agencies.
Family Support Officer (OOU2) – $76,912 - $82,464 per annum.
Providing supervision and support to families, children and young people about accessing Department and community resources.
Administrative Assistant (Level 2) – $76,912 - $82,464 per annum.
Responsible for contributing to the effective management of the District Offices by providing a high level of customer service in relation to administrative matters.
Customer Liaison Officer (Level 2) - $76,912 - $82,464 per annum.
You will be the first point of contact for members of the community accessing the Child Protection and Family Support services of the Department of Communities.
Parent Visitor (OOU2) - $76,912 - $82,464 per annum.
Responsible for undertaking homes and community visits to provide culturally appropriate support and assistance to Parents and Carer.
Best Beginnings Plus Worker (CSU2) - $79,040 - $100,880 per annum.
Provides a personal culturally appropriate parenting skill service to assist in the growth and development of families to facilitate child safety and wellbeing
