We have the rare opportunity for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef - Chinese Cuisine to join our T’ang Court culinary team, bringing their passion for Cantonese cuisine and high level of culinary skill. This role leads from the front, and is pivotal in assisting our team to create memorable meals for our guests.

What You’ll Do

As a Sous Chef - Chinese Cuisine, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes, particularly focusing on wok cooking. You will ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards in terms of quality, presentation, and consistency. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment is essential, as is collaborating with the kitchen team to innovate and improve menu offerings. Adhering to all health and safety regulations is also a crucial part of your responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in the role you will have been in the same or similar position/s within a luxury hotel or venue, with proven experience of leading a kitchen to deliver exceptional food standards.

• Proven experience in a similar position at a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant, at a senior level with leadership experience;
• A deep understanding of Cantonise cooking techniques and Asian cuisine;
• Passion for culinary excellence;
• High level of Food Safety Management and HACCAP knowledge;
• Luxury Hotel or Restaurant experience is highly desirable;
• Ability to work under pressure with strong problem-solving skills;
• Commercial Cookery Qualifications;
