Full job description
XOPP, a member of the Golden Century Group and located in Darling Square, is Sydney’s best Cantonese restaurant. It provides a innovative yet traditional Cantonese-focused menu centred on the character of our most celebrated dish, a spectacular wine list and a beautifully designed interior.
It is currently seeking an experienced Cook to join their busy Kitchen team full-time.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to the Head Chef
- Work as a team member providing support to the chefs and other kitchen staff
- Ensure that all food supplies are fresh and conform to food safety standards
- Prepare, marinade and cook foods according to restaurant standards
- Consistent apportioning of food according to recipes
- Prepare and cook foods on a regular basis or for functions and customers preferences
- Maintain a clean kitchen ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met in food preparation
- Maintain stock and inventory control
- Provide guidance in the training of other cooks and kitchen staff
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification is highly regarded
- Extensive relevant experience as a Cook in Chinese/Asian cuisine
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. + superannuation
Annual Leave: 4 weeks
Working hours: 38 hours per week
