Full job description

Why Join Us?

We’re on a mission to empower people with disabilities to do what they once did or never thought possible. As the world-leader in assistive communication solutions, we empower our customers to express themselves, connect with the world, and live richer lives.

At Tobii Dynavox, you can grow your career within a dynamic, global company that has a clear, impactful purpose - with the flexibility to also do what truly matters to you outside of work. What’s more, you’ll be part of a work culture where collaboration is the norm and individuality is welcomed.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the power to grow ideas in an unconventional environment. At the same time, you’ll work in a culture of ongoing learning and development, allowing you to constantly expand your area of expertise.

About the Role

As a People Generalist (Fixed-Term), you will join our global People & Sustainability team and support employees and managers across the Asia-Pacific region, primarily in Australia and China.

By providing guidance on people-related matters, contributing to employee development initiatives, and supporting compliance and continuous improvement activities, you will help create a positive employee experience.

Please note: This is a full-time, hybrid role (3–5 days per week onsite) based in our Adelaide office. We are seeking someone who can preferably start as soon as possible. This is an 8-month fixed-term contract.

In This Role, You Will

  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on people-related policies, procedures, and workplace enquiries, including handling employee relations matters such as disciplinary processes and grievance procedures.

  • Maintain employee records with a high level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.

  • Coordinate and facilitate learning and development activities, including training initiatives, workshops, and cross-functional programs that support employee growth and career development.

  • Lead or contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, systems, and processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company requirements.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an organised, self-driven, people-oriented, and proactive professional who enjoys working across a variety of HR activities and building positive working relationships with employees and managers.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience in a People Generalist or HR Generalist role supporting the Asia-Pacific region within a dynamic environment, including employee relations matters.

  • Knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations practices, ideally across Australia and/or China.

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (ideally Workday) and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Apply today!

We believe in empowering individuals - including our own employees - to reach their full potential. So, if you want to change lives while growing your own career, we’d love to hear from you.

Where we stand:

We believe diversity not only enriches our workplace culture, but also gives us a strategic advantage. Working with people from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives helps us all become better communicators, better problem solvers, and better human beings. Our differences make us stronger.
