Full job description

As a Student Ambassador you will be accountable for working across Chisholm to provide seamless service and engagement to all Chisholm students and prospective students; with the aim to improve social connectedness and student success via peer-to-peer support and mentorship.

The Student Ambassador program similarly aims to provide Chisholm students an opportunity to develop their employability and enhance career readiness, providing experiences and fostering transferable skills for future employment.

The role will be based in Dandenong, with travel and work based around all Chisholm campuses


As a Student Ambassador, your key responsibilities include:

  • Peer-to-peer general assistance to current/prospective students, including Careers support, IT assistance, wayfinding, and other enquiries.
  • Proactively promote Chisholm Institute services and functions (i.e. events, support services, Library) to current/prospective students.
  • Support current/prospective students to navigate physical and digital spaces to source the information they require
  • Assist with general office administration when required (i.e. preparation and packing of marketing collateral required for events, data entry and other general office duties).
  • Facilities and event support, including preparation and pack-up of facilities and equipment.


ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed knowledge and application of Chisholm Institute IT Technology/Library services ((i.e. Studiosity, myChisholm, email).

You also have-

  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service (i.e. retail, hospitality, administration)
  • Ability and willingness to work across different Departments/Business Areas/campuses throughout the Institute as required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills relevant to the functions of the Student Ambassador role (i.e. coordinating events, responding to enquiries from students).
  • Proven ability to quickly develop rapport and positive working relationships with colleagues from broad range of social and cultural backgrounds


Qualifications required for the role:

  • Enrolled (and actively participating) in a Chisholm Institute course (any level/campus/discipline)
