Working closely with pastors, ministry leaders and church networks, your primary role is to help expand the mission of World Vision as we bear witness to Jesus Christ by serving pastors, helping churches flourish and working to end extreme poverty together. You will build and strengthen relationships with churches, connecting them with transformational opportunities such as Chosen Child Sponsorship, Community Development initiatives, the 40 Hour Challenge, emergency appeals and prayer initiatives.

This is a highly relational role for someone who understands the Australian church landscape and is passionate about helping build the local church and create lasting impact for vulnerable children and communities.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage a portfolio of church partnerships across WA and SA.

Develop strong relationships with pastors, church leaders and key decision-makers.

Conduct regular face-to-face meetings and engagement activities with church partners and prospects.

Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities.

Develop engagement strategies that grow participation, generosity and long-term partnership.

Represent World Vision Australia at church services, conferences, events and networking opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional partner experiences.

Monitor and report on partnership activity and outcomes.

Due to travel, church services, conferences and events, some work outside standard business hours will be required.

About You

You are a self-motivated relationship builder with a strong understanding of the Australian church landscape and a passion for seeing churches create lasting impact.

You will bring:
Minimum 5 years' experience in fundraising, sales, business development or partnership management.

Experience working in/with churches, Christian organisations and networks.

Formal Bible College or theological studies (preferred).

Demonstrated success in developing and growing strategic partnerships.

Strong stakeholder engagement, networking and influencing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to engage and inspire audiences through preaching, public speaking, presentations and group facilitation.

High emotional intelligence and relationship management capability.

Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365 (desirable).

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

The Selection Process

For your information, the interviews will start immediately, and the role may be filled before the closing date.

We embrace diversity, employing people from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds. We are committed to all children and adults being safe, well, and empowered through our programs, activities, management, and governance.

All successful candidates will undergo all required pre-employment checks which is inclusive of a criminal record check.
