Dog Bather – Join Our Team

We are currently seeking one to two dedicated and passionate Dog Bathers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential grooming services to our furry clients, helping them look and feel their best. This is a great opportunity for individuals who genuinely love dogs and are interested in building a career in the pet care industry. Training will be provided for new team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bathing and grooming dogs of various breeds and sizes in line with breed standards and client preferences
• Handling and restraining dogs safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and wellbeing
• Performing basic grooming tasks such as brushing, teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning
• Maintaining a clean and organised grooming environment, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment
• Assisting groomers with additional tasks such as drying dogs, applying treatments, and scheduling appointments

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred but not essential
• Basic knowledge of dog grooming techniques and equipment is an advantage, but not required
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and care
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do attitude
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift dogs weighing over 20kg
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 – $26.60 per hour
