Exciting things are happening at Bupa! We’re growing our Global Internal Audit (GIA) function – and at the heart of it all? Our customers.
At Bupa, we’re building something better and bolder that truly puts the customer first. Supporting this is a culture of effective risk management and internal control which plays a vital role in delivering great outcomes.
We’re looking for sharp, curious graduates who have an eye for detail, enjoy problem solving and who want to learn how businesses really work to join our Global Internal Audit (GIA) function! If you’re ready to jump into the world of internal control, and are passionate about meaningful work, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges, Bupa GIA is the place for you.
Join us in our mission to create faster, more effective, and sustainable improvements in internal controls, and support Bupa to achieve its purpose of helping people live longer, happier, healthier lives and making a better world.
The opportunity
We are a global function of over 100 audit professionals, who take a risk-based and data-led approach to drive our internal consultancy and valuable insights to Senior Management and the Board. We provide independent assurance on Bupa's risk management and control environment and are focused on influencing positive change to help our stakeholders continuously improve and better achieve strategic objectives.
We are seeking two Graduate Assurance Analysts to join our recently awarded 2024 IIA Audit Team of the Year, focusing on Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
Our two-year graduate program is designed to equip you with the fundamental professional and personal skills needed to emerge as exceptional leaders and to create enduring, positive career memories. By joining our GIA team, you will work alongside industry experts, receive outstanding learning and development, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to real-world projects, that’ll build the skills to take you anywhere. Our complex corporate environment provides opportunities to benefit from its diversity. You will gain exposure to different businesses and products, diverse personalities, strategies and working styles.
This is a 2-year full-time program, based in Melbourne. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements where there’s flexibility to work from the office and/or home)
Kickstart your career – What can you expect as a Bupa Internal Audit Graduate
You will be part of a high performing and connected team. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of audit projects across all of Bupa's diverse businesses and become a key contributor in audit delivery, participate in stakeholder discussions and make key audit decisions.
What we offer you:
- Global Business and Executive Exposure: Immerse yourself into the diverse landscape of Bupa Asia Pacific, gaining invaluable insights across a spectrum of our business units. Shadow leaders to observe strategic decision-making processes firsthand and engage in special projects that may include international travel.
- Structured Mentorship: Receive tailored induction and technical training to develop your internal audit, technology and data analytic skills. Apply these skills as you work closely with Audit Managers, Senior Analysts, and other professionals from both local and global teams. Participate in Leadership Programs to enhance your problem-solving and collaborative abilities and boost your data analytics competencies through our Data Analytics training.
- Tailored Knowledge Acquisition: Embark on a customised learning journey designed to deepen your understanding of our operations and our team’s expertise.
- Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with our dynamic team, where your ideas, creativity, and drive for excellence contribute directly to our business solutions.
At the end of the two-year program, your transferrable skills and knowledge acquired throughout this program, may make you well placed to secure available analyst roles within GIA, or across Bupa’s businesses for you to continue your career journey at Bupa.
You will add value by:
- Assisting in audit delivery by working as part of a high-performing team focused on improving key processes and controls across the business.
- Building foundational relationships with internal and external stakeholders and supporting the flow of knowledge that contributes to better risk and control awareness across the business.
- Learning and contributing to GIA’s audit methodologies, working alongside experienced auditors to ensure audit execution aligns with Bupa’s internal standards and professional practices.
- Participating in functional development initiatives and ad-hoc assurance work under the direction of the Internal Audit leadership team.
- Managing compliance with the GIA policies, procedures, and organisation.
- Supporting change through identifying enhancement opportunities and challenging the status quote to improve the operation of GIA and Bupa.
