About the role
We're looking for an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support and enhance our cloud and network infrastructure environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability, performance and security of business-critical services while contributing to ongoing modernisation and optimisation initiatives.
Working closely with technology, architecture and business stakeholders, you'll manage a broad range of cloud networking and security platforms, provide advanced operational support, contribute to design decisions and help drive continuous improvement across the network estate. This role also participates in a 24x7 on-call roster supporting critical systems and major incident escalations.
Key responsibilities

Manage and optimise firewalls, network appliances and security controls across the environment.

Deploy, support and enhance SD-WAN solutions to improve connectivity and performance across distributed locations.

Monitor network performance, availability and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Troubleshoot complex network incidents and provide advanced L2/L3 operational support.

Collaborate with architecture, engineering and project teams to deliver scalable cloud networking solutions.

Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.

Contribute to incident management, post-incident reviews, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
-
Proven experience in a network engineering role supporting enterprise-scale environments, including cloud networking technologies.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services and cloud-based network architectures.
-
Expertise across networking technologies including routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and network security.
-
Experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Netskope SSE is essential.
-
Demonstrated capability with Check Point firewalls, Meraki networking and Citrix ADC technologies.
-
Experience using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
-
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or Networking, with industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Check Point or Azure certifications highly regarded.
