Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division, working in complex, multi-vendor environments within a supportive and collaborative team. This role focuses on network engineering, infrastructure management, and performance optimisation, with a strong emphasis on design, security, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud-based networking solutions.
-
Design, review, and produce high-quality architecture and as-built documentation to support network environments.
-
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, ensuring reliability, performance, and resilience of services.
-
Implement and manage network security measures, supporting secure infrastructure across on-premise and cloud platforms.
-
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan capacity, manage changes, and adapt to evolving requirements while contributing to on-call support.
About You and What You'll Bring
-
Strong experience in network engineering, including configuration and integration of routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure components.
-
Deep understanding of network protocols, tools, and security principles, particularly across cloud-based environments.
-
Proven ability to develop high-quality design documentation and build strong stakeholder relationships.
-
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
-
Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CISSP (or equivalent experience) and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
