About the role
The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn connect and create. The nine branches offer a key front-line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed and motivated Librarian to join the City of Sydney’s Library Events, Activities and Partnerships team.
As part of this dynamic team you will be responsible for:
- The effective development and delivery of digital literacy programs across the library network.
- Creating an exceptional customer experience
- Supporting and contributing to the development of digital literacy programs for diverse communities
- Supporting team management, strategic planning and daily operations
The successful candidate will have experience in:
- Planning, development and delivery of digital literacy programs and projects
- Providing high quality customer service
- Excellent digital literacy skills
- Effective communication skills
The work pattern for this role is Tuesday to Saturday. Applicants must be willing and prepared to undertake weekend work, and work across any of the nine City branches as required.
This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment and working with children check.
