CIVIL ENGINEER - WALKABOUT CIVIL

Walkabout Civil is looking for a driven and experienced Civil Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking and rapidly growing company delivering high-quality civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of diverse and impactful projects while advancing your professional career in a supportive environment.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Road works experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • MC or HR license a bonus
  • Capable of working remotely and willing to stay in road camps as required
  • Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded

Your duties will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in road construction, maintenance, and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to work effectively alongside roadworks and civil construction crews.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to supervise, coordinate, and motivate field teams.
  • Experience preparing project quotations, cost estimates, and work scopes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work across Queensland and the Northern Territory as required.
  • Experience in tender preparation, pricing, and submission processes is highly desirable.
